You can create any item you want to track on the property. Once you’ve setup the services for your customer the real “magic of mapping” can begin. Let’s say you want to do the first application of the year. You select that service from a drop-down of all the services that you offer. You select what truck, individual, route, etc., that you want these services assigned to. You can select a date range (the last time you made a visit to the property) OR by schedule date if you want. Then you let the system do all the work for you. It will give you a list of everyone that’s ready for that service. It doesn’t matter how many, it will list up to hundreds of customers (if it needs to). Then, with a simple click of your mouse bottom you can launch all of these customers out to a map!! Suddenly you have all these dots on a map in front of you representing everybody that’s ready for your service. Using color-coded circles, some people that require a call-ahead will have a blue “halo” around their dot. If they owe you money that’s past due they might have a yellow “halo” around them. It’s so simple!! Then, using your mouse, you can “lasso” (draw a box around your selected customers) everyone that’s in a certain area that’s close together. When you do that, several things happen. The total box tells you how many jobs you just selected, how many square feet there is to treat, how much revenue you just added, etc. So you can just lasso more jobs if you want to based on either square-footage or revenue!! Once you’ve decided the amount of work to do the next steps are easy. You click on “optimize stops” and it looks at all the stops and puts them in the most efficient order based on the location from which is leaving (your office) to every single stop and back to your shop again. You can click on “directions” and it will create a mapquest-style of turn-by-turn directions originating from your office to every single stop he has that day. Then it will return him back to the shop at the end of the day. You also have map options that you can print as well. You can print an overview map to get him to an area. Then, you can print a “smart map” that might be just a very specific area (certain neighborhood, half a square mile, square mile, etc.) that he’s working in that shows every stop on it. Then, all these stops may need some paperwork that is to be printed for the technician to take with him. You click on “invoice” and it will generate an invoice complete with all the necessary customer information on it that he needs, right down to “special instructions”. These all print in perfect route-optimized order on carbonless forms that your technician can write on, transposing everything that he writes to the customer onto your copy that is brought back to the office. What a great program!
